I've had hearing loss most of my life learning things the hard way. It shouldn't be that way. Being successful with hearing loss is more than wearing hearing devices. Filling in the gaps with self advocacy skills and lipreading strategies helped me to be more successful. I know they will help you too. The best feeling in the world is watching students begin to advocate for themselves and sharing hearing loss awareness.

Hearing loss is a communication disorder.

Hearing aids and cochlear implants are great but they have limits.

We give you strategies to fill in the gaps and build confidence.

For over 20 years, I have provided CART (Communication Access Real-time Translation) both in person and remotely. Working closely with our local hearing loss community allowed me to understand my role as a hearing partner to my family members with hearing loss. It's also helped me understand how to best perform equal access to communication for those with a hearing loss improving my CART and communication.

I am in the know, are you?
